| Felt awesome that day and broke my own record with a 1:23:41:) |
Thank you dad for passing down to me you're love of running. It has given me the ability to dream, a love of the outdoors, mental toughness, a friend who is always there, a counseling session with myself, a stress reliever, an excuse to eat treats, an outlet for my stubbornness..... We were not as close as I'd hoped as a kid , nothing is perfect, but this is a bond that we will share forever.

Yes that's my dad, I believe running a 10k judging by the time. I used to think that it was crazy how many hours he used to spend running. I remember as a kid having people tell me "I saw you're dad running the other day," all the time... Like he was crazy. I laugh to myself because I get that comment all the time now except it is people saying " I see YOU running all the time." And now I get it ... I totally get it, people think I am crazy runner girl, except in a different state and town across the country and I am very grateful that he passed this down to me.
If you're wondering where I am in the picture, I am the little girl standing on the cement block, next to the lady going crazy( my mom cheering her heart out!) leaning in curiosity.. Little did I know, racing would be a big part of my life someday and I would be running through many of these finish lines, Just replace my mom with Jake:)
