Due to the fact that IM Arizona is right around the corner ( about 7 weeks away!), coach Aaron has really pumped up the volume on my training. This will be my first crack at the full Ironman and I am already feeling nerves creeping through about the big day. Now is the time to get my fueling down which has been pretty good these past couple of weeks, as I have been testing out many different products to see what will agree with my stomach on race day and I am really starting to narrow it down. For me, it seems that the use of more solids in the beginning of my long bike rides work as long as I taper down to liquids toward the end before I have to run. Of course this will still take some honing in before AZ but it's a start! Had a great long bike ride with my friends Cher and Jess yesterday and can't wait for more! This is the time for me to get that mileage in and increase my biking endurance.
On another note the weekend was not filled with only training, it was also my Jake's first running race and he did amazing! He did the Huntsville half marathon and absolutely loved it. He felt great and got his goal time ( 1:50. 17) ! I couldn't be more proud and it was nice to be there and spectate for once! It is the least I could do since he has never missed a race of mine:)
